Porcelain Raft, aka London dream pop composer Mauro Remiddi, is releasing his debut LP, Strange Weekend, on January 24th via Secretly Canadian, and it’s the first album of 2k12 I have genuinely been looking forward to. Though Strange Weekend is Porcelain Raft‘s first full length, he’s put out a number of releases over the past two years, and this album feels like the culminating statement of all all the hard work he’s put into creating this project. With soothing acoustic guitars and subtle effects washing over synths and beats, it sounds like a complete work, yet never tries to escape the confines of his bedroom walls. ”Unless You Speak From Your Heart” is the second single to be taken from the album, following “Put Me to Sleep”.
