Canadian quintet Walk Off the Earth released an interesting and creative cover of Gotye‘s hit single “Somebody That I Used to Know,” which was released on the band’s 2011 album Making Mirrors. While the album as a whole is less than thrilling, “Somebody That I Used to Know” caught on like wildfire because of its haunting guitar picks and storytelling. I mean, who can’t relate to a terrible break up?

Granada Theater is one of my favorite venues. The tickets are reasonably priced, the beer is reasonably priced, the inside is multi-tiered so even short people can see everything that happens on stage and it’s walking distance from my house. Not to mention Granada hosts some of the best musical acts that come through. I remember last summer I spent on average three nights a week at this place.
