Primus at Palladium Wednesday night was one of the most insanely awesome, home grown grunge, satisfying performances Ive ever seen. I may be a little biased, I discovered Primus during my coming-of-age era in life (the same time I discovered classic rock, skipping school, and beer) so Ive always had a soft spot in my heart for Les Claypool and his wonky, experimental bass.

Big Gigantic — The World is Yours

This dope new track from Boulder’s finest is proof of growth in production as well as firmly rooted style. “The World is Yours” incorporates the classic Big G sax, but hides that aspect from the limelight, overshadowing it with womps and refined vocal samples. What defines a great band is the ability to inspire other with your musical creation, and Big Gigantic has certainly struck the right chord with this one.

Signal Path — The Prosaic Fades

Signal Path starts off this new set of beats with a banger. The title alone did it for me. “That’s What They Tell Me,” starts off with a heavy bass line before working in the keys and going back to that hard bass everyone has come to love.
