Best Coast and Several Texas Bands Added to 35 Denton Lineup

Los Angeles chill wavers Best Coast and Australian pop group POND are just two of 10 bands announced in the fifth and final release of performers at the up and coming North Texas music festival 35 Denton. And the list was full of local Texans too — David Ramirez from Austin, Holy Fiction from Houston, Danny Malone from Austin, and Cowboy and Indian also from Austin. Bun B — “My Block” (LEGSWEEPER Cover)

My favorite up and coming music festival 35 Denton has gotten super creative this year. They’ve got a cover series going where they get local North Texas bands to recreate songs by one of the headlining artists. We saw this with a few videos announcements, namely Built to Spill and Dum Dum Girls, but this latest one is truly unique. Check out Denton’s LEGSWEEPER‘s rendition of Bun B‘s “My Block.”

Wow, what an announcement from North Texas music fest 35 Denton! Dum Dum Girls, OM and The Hood Internet are not slated on lineup for the fest, which takes place March 8-11. Check out the promo video below and get excited for the other acts announced today too!

Attention local, national, established and up and coming musicians: this Friday, December 16 is the very last day you can apply to play the rocking North Texas music festival 35 Denton via Sonicbids. If you haven’t seen the bill, you potentially have the opportunity to share stages with internationally renown artists such as Bun B, The Raincoats and newly announced Built to Spill.
